Who is Bear?

Hey Kathy,

Yes, big brother Robert is wiser & smarter.

Did we forget to tell you the story about
how I broke his arm. Let's see it was 1948.
He was 10, I was 8 ! All 85 pounds of me.
(Robert was already 6'0 150 lbs really !)

I tackled (first time for everything)
on an open field while he was breaking away
to score the games winning touchdown.
Me & the guy up the street (Dad worked for
Rawlingsgreat gloves), was the only onee
left between Robert and the goal line.
Just closed my eyes, prayed for life
there after, and ran as hard as I could.
(I felt so lousy after seeing Robert in
so much pain. I didn't think he ever let me
play with his older (& wiser) friends again.
Or that Mom would stop feeding us.)

Of course that was many many years ago.

But did he also tell you that he was behind
in line when it comes to things that
really matter now.

Like being better looking, graduating earlier
from charm school, having a great body,
having a full head of non-greying hair,
and having a better jab and left uppercut,
and living in Maryland.

OBTW, Robert did teach me that nothing
else really matters except
- being a good christian,
- a good father,
- and a good husband.

cheers
Bear

ps. Whom/What/Why/Where is Kathy.
Ditto for Dave.
