Who Are You?

By: Jon Toner
Add to Mixx!

I just turned 33, and am Daddy to Caitlin (3 1/2, Victoria, 19 mos. and Patrick 5 mos.). My loving and infinitely patient wife, Teresa and I have been married for 8 1/2 years.

I coached from 1990-1994 after discovering my LL coach had died. In 1995, I became league Umpire-In-Chief, so had to step down from "officially" coaching. In 1996 I became league President and served until 1998. I've remained an "unofficial coach", meaning that I will help out anyone who asks. I remain on the Executive Board as Fundraising Coordinator, and look forward to coaching T-Ball with Caitlin.

I'm a byte-head for a company called Hansco Information Technologies. We are a very niche software company - we produce accounting systems for Ready-Mix Concrete companies. The job takes me on the road a couple of times a month (next stops: Fairhaven, NJ and Lake Charles, LA). I've been at Hansco 3 years and love my job. It's a lot better than my former job at a Fortune 50 company, which I believe served as the model for the Dilbert cartoons. Weather permitting, we spend lunchtime in the vacant lot behind our office hitting softballs. In nasty weather, we set up the dartboard.

A mortgage, picket fence and dog (Kismet) round out my Norman Rockwell life, and I wouldn't change a thing.
