Hey Mickey - Some Dialog about Common Curses for 13U

By: Bear
Add to Mixx!

The 3rd common curse for 13U is to have extremely slow hands & a slow swing.

I understand examining their bat weight, but did not mention what it is.

However, where I want to travel to is
in that area. So try this.
Alternate between underload sticks to Normal and Overload to Normal.

Underload
Obtain an old broom stick (of pine vs mahogany). Cut it to 35". Swing it at wiffle balls. (Swing as much as the
kid can, watch for blisters.)

OverLoad
A heavier Wood Bat will do (or a T-Stick,
or a Fan Bat). Watch for 'looping'.
Do no overdo this, (cause it actually
may creates slow hand) Swing
maybe 8-10 then switch types of bats.

Keep me informed

cheers
Bear

ps.
Care to take a guess at the first two common curses for 13U?

Set Pro is ok if it gets the kid to
swing. It's an Overload device that
attempts to keep the kid from 'looping'
by adusting the balance of the weight
of the bat away from the barrel toward
the handle. But overall, a pretty expensive wrist stengthener device. (16 oz. of
dumbells costs about $2.00)

Had to go here. Whose the leader
of the club that's made for you & me?
