NATURAL POSITIONS & those Hot Stops, Today

By: TJ
Add to Mixx!

Hey Seadog Good post !

Say Coker,

As far as 'natural' corner or
'natural' SS, it is unbelievable
to me these HOT STOPS, today. There is nothing 'short' about this talent.
They are all that good. I can not
recall that many at one time! There
talent and skills includes:
- Arm Strength
- Hands (in some cases both !)
- Body Control includ: both E-W & N-S

Other expressions to describe these SS incl:

'THiS kid IS (easy) 'Uteen' (routine)'

'Can he really pick and shoot or what'

'There is no such thing as too many ground balls'

'I heard his boots are in single digits"

'AND he's got 30 dingers, 30 SB'

"Let's Play Two"....who?' by E. Banks

"That play was so unbelievable, I will wait for the next one to beleive it"
by C Driesan

So, for those who recall the
Reese vs Rizotto debates of yesteryear,

how about a start of a listing of
those MLB clubs with the top five
HOT STOPS of today.

Great, I will start it
#1. Clev
#2. Bost
#3. Seattle
#4. NYY
#5 LA Dodgers (Hon Mention !)
and least not forget that future
HOF at Camden Yards playing 3b/1b

and then there are a few in the
minors that are near pure gold too.

OBTW: The Oz better hurry up and get
into the Hall in 2001,
cause these 'kids' will make you
say..........Ozzie Who ? (NOT)
