Mandatory Slide Rule

: I don't know how long you have been coaching ***I have coached or managed 27 tee ball, machine pitch, coach pitch, LL minors, LL majors and Senior League(plus 3 fall instructional) teams in 11 years. I have umpired all levels for 2 1/2 years. I'm pretty good with umpiring mechanics and the rule book. : but one thing I have learned is that when I get screwed by a bad call, later in a different game I will get one that goes my way. ***A whole lot more went on in this game than I related. There is no chance for a "make up" or "even out" call in a later game when playing for the District Champioship. : good ones(umpires) couldn't care less who wins. ***Exactly. That assumes there are NO bad ones. That's naive, IMHO. You are right about one thing though. I should stop whining about it and get on with it.
