Football vs Cheerleading

Looking for some advise on stoping the fights between the football and cheerleading board members. ie... "we do this you do that" ... "we fund raise more than you"...."our uniforms cost more than yours"..... etc... My kids have left youth league sports, moved to high school and beyond. I am now on my 9th year as a FB coach, my 4 season coaching the 5/6/7 year olds, and this type of problem has occured for as far back as I can remember. I was a Cheerleading and Football parent and understand what each goes thru. As a coach I treat the cheerleading squad as a very important part of our team and teach this aspect to my players. At the board meeting I sometimes try to voice both sides; but, at times this does nothing. Anyone have some advise that I might pass on to the board?
