pop vsCoach

My son is 8 years old and plays on The 75 lb team and is the smallest player. The coach has told me on more than one occasion that he is not strong enough to comepete. He weighs about 77 lbs ,is the shortest player and is only one of 3 eight yr. olds on the team.I played boy's club ball for 5 yrs. 20 yrs. ago. the biggest problem I see is the lack of basic techniques and lack of coaches. When ever I see my son doing something wrong I try to correct him(sometimes even going out on the field) .The head coach has 5 that he works with all practice including the quarterback(his son). I feel that there is not enough work on fundamentals essecially for a B-Team.
I've talked to the assistants and they say that my boy,s doing ok esspecially when he's 8 playing with mostly 9, 10 and11 yr. olds .Need advice Pop.
