Coach Wade's playbook

same thing happened to me last year, coach....found out i was gonna be head coach right before the season started......i was horrified..i had been an assistant, but mostly handled the defense, and the line...had no ideas on offense....just used plays id ran on the semi pro team i was on..mostly out of an I...and then, basically, made up plays as i went along..like you, actually drawing them up in the huddle during timeouts...the blocking was easy, straight ahead....it worked all the way for the championship!!yahoo!!!...but, then, this year, i read all the books...wanted to put in a better passing game, etc etc...and we didnt win a game....hahahah....so much for my brilliance...i went back to making things us as we went along, and we improved, but not enough to win....:((.....its all in the kids you have...i really felt like i failed the kids....so, now im out here trying to find out as much info as i can for next year......(we dont have playbooks...would never work with our kids...they wouldnt read or take care of them, and end up losing them, and the other teams would see more of those playbooks than we would...kids have brothers, cousins, and best friends on other teams, they all share stories..haha
