Coach Wade's playbook

I know youre both right, and i agree ...believe me, there isnt a coach in our league that dosnt spend half their practice every day on fundementals...thats our job...thats the type of league we re in....but, also believe me when i say ive been coaching 7 yrs now, and this is the first year anyone had a guard pull, and he only played line cuz he weighed too much to be a rb....he pulled on a play against us, and blocked 2 kids around end, and still got ahead of the rb...not a td, but a 60 yd play....he was far and away the best player in the league, but was to heavy to run or catch the ball, thank God......if a lineman pulls, that means someone has to fill that spot, either another lineman, or a rb...cant happen fast enough in our league without 3 guys in the backfield....but, its definately worth trying....cant imagine 5th and 6th and 7th graders running traps, and counter tre's haha...we have enough trouble getting them to fire out instead of stand up...how do you teach quickness?....send me your snail mail addys, and i'll send you both a copy of our championship game last year, and you decide what you would do...hahaha.....im always willing to try new things...especially on offense....i played organized tackle football for pretty much 20 yrs..all as an offensive and/or defensive lineman...and i was an intense player, and believe you have to be on the field, and try to convey that to them, especially on defense....but they still cant trap...hahaha
