police protest: -The Outcome

By: Court

Thanks for the Congratulations. Although I've coached in the past, I can't lay claim to this team, much as I'd like to. I'm just a parent this year, but my approach stems from my experience while coaching. Back then, I would have appreciated someone helping out with what I call the "detail" work, leaving me free to coach.

So my job description this year includes:

1. Blocking the Sun: Obtained and set up 2 overhead canopies each game behind the end zone for half time. (Anyone in need of EZ-up covers, I can show you where to find a good discount at their outlet...)

2. Water Boy: Sanitize, fill and ice down 40 bottles of water for each half time. Obtain and dispense 30 "Tiger Milk" bars and Orange slices.

3. Printer: Draw, Reproduce and dispense maps to all road games.

4. Web site administrator: Put together our web page for the SOLE purpose of getting our coach, Rick Garza, into the Newspaper for his last season. He's quite a story. For details, follow the link below to our team page, and read "The Last Time Around."
(by the way, it worked. He made the front page of the Sports section last Saturday..)

Any comments about coaching should go to Rick, as he is the one responsible for any success this team has had the last 3 years.
