playing time

then, i guess, we'll be seeing your statue next to amos alonzo stagg....kids that want to play, are at practice everyday, and work hard...and we work equally hard to make it all the things you say...and when youre winning, it IS fun, and alot less tense, and the parents think youre the greatest, and all that goes with it, and all the kids show up every day....but, when things arent so great, its another story...and some year, like this one, was like that.. most kids, just want to play, not practice, and see practice as a necessary evil to get to play, and be with their friends...it wouldnt matter what they were practicing...
we cant force them....we take the ones that show, and go......these kids have alot more stuff to worry about than most...and we try to get them involved in sports to keep them pointed in a positive direction, and i happen to think sports is a really great way....its not my job, if we lose a game, its not a high pressure situation...this program is for FUN....if you win, great, but they see everyone as a winner cuz they tried...the next level is alot more serious, and thats fine...and, i dont know how long your season is, but ours ends around holloween...and by then, the kids, and the coaches have had enough of practice, even if theyre winning!!!! different leagues, different planets...you enjoy yours, ill enjoy mine, and we'll agree to disagree on all but one thing...its for the KIDS, right?
