I need some Coaches opinons here....

Brand new to the board and I am so glad I found it....here is my delima

- I started my son in his first year of football this last year (9 years Micro Football). At first it was just to give him something to do and then as it turns how he is very good at it. Basically he learned to play and played well every position on the team except QB and RB. He finally settled in at corner (a shut down run stuffing type), outside linebacker, and wide reciever (he originally was put there because he is a very good blocker....but come to find out the kid became a dependable endzone and 10-15 yards outlet reciever)

This is the problem....I feel like my son got slighted when it came time for recognition.....at the awards ceremony at the end of the year.....not one award....nothing......players that were my sons equal but didn't play both ways like he did walked away with 2 and 3 trophies apiece. and these kids were a year older and had a year under their belt.

Should my son be upset? Or is this a case of "your time will come"?
